There’s room for both fast food and haute cuisine at Galvin HOP.
Lunchtime needn’t be all about settling for a sad Subway, as there’s now a Michelin-starred lunch option in town. The discerning foodie should make a beeline for Galvin HOP in Spitalfields. The restaurant, run by the Michelin-star worthy Galvin brothers, has opened a takeaway window, serving up the fastest haute cuisine in town.
Galvin’s offering is definitely the quickest Michelin-star offering in town. There’s currently only one dish on the menu, but it sounds like a banger. Crispy buttermilk chicken is served in a brioche-potato flour bun, and topped with pickles, tomato, leaves, and sriracha lime mayo.
Cluckin’ brilliant if you’re feeling peckish, and the price is rather nice too. The sandwich will set you back £8.50, and it comes with a soft drink or beer to wash it down. You can hop on down to Galvin HOP between 11:30am and 3pm, Monday to Friday, to pick up the lunch. Be warned though, they’re served on a first come, first served basis, and food this good is bound to go fast.
