Just a quick, 15 minute hop from King’s Cross St Pancras on the Thameslink, Brent Cross Town offers a peaceful green escape from the city bustle. With open spaces, leafy surroundings, and plenty of ways to get moving, it’s the perfect spot to stay active, soak up the fresh air, and make the most of the great outdoors. And with The Play-Offs taking over on September 13-14, there’s never been a better excuse to head over and get in on the action.
Designed to test your skills, speed, and teamwork, the Play-Offs are an opportunity to gather your friends and family and take on a weekend of challenges that’s just as fun for seasoned sports lovers as it is for complete beginners. The tournament will be set up as a circuit of different activities. Here’s what’s in store:
- High Ropes – there are a range of routes and challenges available on this adrenaline-pumping adventure, so it’s perfect for novices and thrillseekers alike.
- Climbing Wall – reaching an impressive 7.3m, the climbing wall will put your balance and coordination to the test.
- Last One Standing – as fun to watch as it is to play, this activity requires you to dodge and jump a swinging mechanical arm, with the aim of being the last player standing.
- Batak Pro – test your agility and reflexes in a range of challenges, from hitting illuminated targets, to catching as many batons as possible.
- BungeeRun – make your way along the inflatable as fast as you can, before the cord pulls you back to your starting position.
- The 108 Baseball – step into the batting cage and hit a target with the ball to score points
But the fun doesn’t end there! Teams will also be able to compete at Chase Tag®, a thrilling combination of parkour and classic playground tag which is on its way to gaining Olympic recognition. Plus, the Play-Offs weekend will host an International Chase Off where top teams, including the reigning World Champions, Hollywood Freerunners from LA, battle it out! If you’re feeling confident, you can even take on one of the pros – but if not, you can go head to head with your friends, or even just sit back and watch the gripping games unfold.
