Fantastic drinks, moreish snacks and top-notch views are what Forza Wine’s newest joint is all about. Following on from the success of Forza Wine’s outpost at their Peckham-based rooftop drinking spot and Forza Win which is their relaxed Italian restaurant in Camberwell, they’ve taken to the Thames for their newest branch at the National Theatre opening on September 7 with reservations open now.
Their new spot features a snazzy indoor space that can accommodate 100 covers and a lush outdoor terrace big enough for 70 covers overlooking the river. Inside you’ll find an open kitchen for you to peek in on the chefs making dishes such as Bay salted sole with fennel and pickled chilli, marinated peppers with basil, and Forza staples like cauliflower fritti, their famous soft serve and custardo which all feature in the opening menu. With a drink in one hand, snacks like these in the other, and a riverside view, it’s a guaranteed dreamy afternoon.
Forza Wine will be open from 12pm to 12am so it’s great for a light lunch and tipple, some afternoon unwinding or for some late evening people-watching along the river with drinks and nibbles – they’re down for whatever, as are we. The space has banquette seating, high-tops and larger tables for up to eight, making it perfect for groups. Forza will be serving up their signature cocktails and natural wines to pair perfectly with their ‘Italian-ish’ snacks.
Michael Lavery, Chef and Co-Owner, said, ‘‘Forza Wine is all about delicious food and drinks delivered by people who do things properly, make you feel welcome and don’t take the whole thing too seriously. If you leave full and happy and having enjoyed a few drinks then we’re good. The menus will be different each time you visit, and will work for everyone, theatre goers as well as our regulars. We can’t wait to get started.”
Be sure to nab yourself a res because this new opening looks pretty buzzy. Head to Forza’s official website here to book.
