Next month, in an attempt to raise £1m+ in funds for Evelina London Children’s Hospital, a small group of the hospitals most dedicated supporters will have the chance to fly over the Thames (after they pledge £50,000). Good news is, there is a chance–albeit small–for one lucky person to join them. All you need to do is enter this free prize draw!
The zipping will happen on December 2 and will span a 1,519ft trip from the roof of St Thomas’ Hospital on the south of the river to Victoria Tower Gardens next to the Houses of Parliament. Participants will fly ‘superman style’, reaching speeds of 40mph, and they’ll be greeted with a champagne reception when they reach the other side. Chin chin!
This never-done-before stunt was arranged by London Fire Brigade Officer, Andy Roe, whose son was treated at the Evelina London Children’s Hospital. He organised the zip wire as a way to raise some money and thank the hospital staff for their amazing work!
The competition runs until 4pm on November 22, so get entering if you want to be in with a chance!
