Officially a quarter of a century old, the legendary London electronic music and clubbing institution fabric are celebrating their 25th anniversary in style with a year-long run of special events and several exclusive releases. Known for its multiple-storied layout and world-class sound systems, the club is set to celebrate its incredible milestone under the fabric25 banner. The fabric25 celebration is also set to hold a special extended party at the club in October 2024.
The famous club closed in 2016 after having its licence revoked, but later reopened after 160,000 people signed a petition to save the establishment. fabric is home to a range of international stars and local names with regular artists such as Fabio & Grooverider, Skream and Monki playing. Playing a variety of electronic sounds, from drum & bass to techno – fabric remains rightfully one of Britain’s best-known nightclubs.
fabric will tour across Europe, Latin America and the US for the first part of the year with events in a number of venues such as Berlin’s Tresor, Sub Club in Glasgow, Superclub in Lima and other iconic clubbing venues in Bucharest, Brussels, Lisbon, Miami, Quito, and more. The club will also have appearances at AVA, Project 6 and Junction 2 festivals in London.
The special anniversary year will also see fabric host a series of in-house events featuring some of the club’s renowned guests. From Craig Richards, Ricardo Villalobos, Leon Vynehall, Shanti Celeste, Daniel Avery, Marcel Dettmann, Yung Singh, and more – be sure to expect an astounding line-up of artists who have contributed to the club’s legacy.
Alongside events, the club is also set to release a collection of exclusive records on the club’s two labels: fabric Records and fabric Originals. This includes five ‘fabric presents’ compilations, reissues of famous past mixes and a series of Past & Future EPs to add to its extensive catalogue of mixes. All this leads up to a massive birthday party in the iconic Farringdon venue itself from October 11-13.
