Everyman Broadgate brings the magic of the movies to the City.
As the weather turns distinctly autumnal once more, it’s no wonder we’re turning our attention a bit of indoor living. Handily, a lovely new way to do that arrives next week, when Everyman opens their shiny new cinema – Everyman Broadgate – on October 4th. And what better way to while away a dark night than in front of a fully immersive cinema screen?
First things first, Everyman Broadgate have absolutely nailed it location-wise. A prime location around the corner from Liverpool Street Station puts them next to the holy trinity of the City, Spitalfields, and this massive Italian food hall, opening next year. They’ve come a long way from their original home in Hampstead, and since they’ll be living the City high-life, it’s only fair they’ve conjured up an ultra-swish venue.
The beautiful lounge space is the perfect place to kick back with a drink whilst waiting for your film to begin – and happily, you’ll find said drink at Everyman Broadgate’s stylish bar. Whilst cocktails are likely to be the weapon of choice, I’d advise you not to overlook the range of truly indulge sundaes and Spielburgers that will also be on offer here. (Particularly since they’ll be delivered to your cinema seat…)
On the screen itself – which, naturally, has been blessed by Everyman’s trademark comfy seating – you’ll catch a range of blockbuster and arthouse films, with special events adding yet another string to their bow. And speaking of which, they’ll celebrate the new opening with a special 20th anniversary screening of the stone-cold classic 10 Things I Hate About You, complete with a fabulous (and delicious) goodie bag – find your tickets for that here. Honestly, what’s not to love?
Find Everyman Broadgate at 1 Finsbury Avenue, EC2M 2PF, from October 4th.
