What to expect at the new Everest VR experience
Step inside the new Everest VR experience and you’ll find yourself at the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, where your expedition to the summit begins in March of 1953. Incredible landscapes and places await you on your journey through the Himalayas, from remote villages and quiet monasteries to gorgeous valleys inhabited by yaks. Take in the beauty of the places you pass through and witness the spiritual connection between the mountain and its people.
The adventure gets perilous once you pass through the Everest Base Camp. As you climb higher and higher, you’ll have to traverse dangerous terrain, cross crevasses on suspended ladders, and push through freezing cold storms and icefalls.
Your expedition comes to a close at the breathtaking Everest summit, with an awe-inspiring altitude of 8,849 metres. Look out over the snowy mountains and take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey you just experienced.
