Tart up your brekkie with Epic Pies’ Full English Tart.

As a nation, we’re always on the lookout for new ways to tuck into a Full English – maybe avoiding this Full English cocktail, though – and handily St Paul’s cafe Epic Pies has provided us with a new one: the Full English Tart.

Yep, as a shop dedicated to the twin arts of pie-making and breakfast-eating, Epic Pies saw fit to combine the two into one delicious breakfast solution. The Full English Tart boasts two sausages, two rashers of bacon, mushrooms, a fried egg, and baked beans, all served in a puff pastry tart (which you can swap for toast should you wish to entirely derail the point of this exercise). Hash browns and black pudding can be added for a nominal fee, with the standard version clocking in at £7.95.

A commitment to the most important meal of the day is unsurprising, given that Epic Pies close at 3pm at weekdays and 2pm on weekends. I suppose once you’ve scoffed down a Full English Tart, you’re probably sorted for the rest of the day, aren’t you?

Find them at 53-55 Carter Lane, St Paul’s, EC4V 5AE. Nearest station is Blackfriars.
