In a bid to make the morning commute a tad less chaotic and a whole lot more comfortable, Transport for London have confirmed that three west London stations will be the lucky recipients of three extra Elizabeth Line services between the hours of 7.30am and 9am on weekday mornings.
The stations in questions are Southall, Hanwell, and Acton Main Line, and the new timetable will come into effect on May 18. The increase in services at these particular stations comes following complaints regarding over-crowing and long waiting times, and a petition started by Acton Main Line residents.

The additional services will start at Heathrow Terminal 5, and now make extra stops at Southall, Hanwell, and Acton Main Line (stations that are currently skipped by these particular services). Once the new timetable is up and running, Southall will be served by ten Elizabeth Line trains during the peak morning commuting hour (8am-9am), whilst six services will stop at Hanwell, and eight trains will call at Acton Main Line during the hour.
Trish Ashton, Director of Rail at TfL, said: “The Elizabeth line is the UK’s single busiest railway service, carrying an average of 800,000 customers a day during the week. These timetables updates at West London stations will provide additional capacity during the peak hours of the morning, helping customers travel more comfortably on the line during this busier time.”
