Now, I know that it’s highly inconsiderate of me to start chucking the w-word about when we’ve barely even scraped ourselves through to summer. But, it’s for good reason, folks – because easyJet has just revealed its upcoming winter schedule. And there’s some pretty darn exciting new flight routes on it.
The beloved budget-friendly flight operator has announced 18 new routes in total; nine of which are in the UK, and two that are (kind of) in London. Among the new routes that are preparing for take-off outside of the UK is easyJet’s longest ever flight (Amsterdam in the Netherlands to Sal in Cape Verde) and one of its shortest connections, too (Lyon to Nice). But our interest has been primarily piqued by the two new routes that’ll help us hotfoot it straight out of the capital city this winter.
The low-cost carrier will be offering flights from London Luton to Ljubljana as of October. The Slovenian capital currently can’t be reached from the (just north of) London airport, so it’s a route that’s sure to be welcomed with open arms (and open passports). London Southend Airport is also being treated to a handy new route. From October, passengers will be able to fly from the Essex aviation hub straight to Budapest for the very first time.

New easyJet flight routes from London
- London Luton to Ljubljana, Slovenia (three times a week from October 26)
- London Southend to Budapest, Hungary (twice a week from October 26)
New easyJet flight routes from the rest of the UK
- Southampton to Paris, France (twice a week from October 25)
- Belfast International to Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt (twice a week from October 25)
- Newcastle to Feurteventura, Spain (twice a week from October 25)
- Belfast International to Rome, Italy (twice a week from October 26)
- Newcastle to Krakow, Poland (twice a week from October 26)
- Newcastle to Reykjavik, Iceland (twice a week from October 27)
- Birmingham to Agadir, Morocco (twice a week from October 27)
Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said: “We are excited to be launching nine new routes and packages from across the UK for this winter, providing customers with even more choice and connectivity. Whether they’re looking for winter sun, or a weekend away in some of Europe’s most iconic capitals, this new batch of routes further expands the range of exciting destinations available for our customers to choose from at affordable prices.”
