In our rapidly advancing world, it’s no surprise that technology has seeped into our social lives. From silent discos and vamped-up laser displays to crazy virtual reality experiences, London is not short of bringing us cool new things to see and try out. Here are just a few of the ‘futuristic’ events happening in the city…

2. To The Lazer Cave, 4th March
Combine high-tech, draw-dropping laser displays with the UK’s best Disco, Techno and House music and you’re in for one hell of a night. ‘To the lazer cave’ will be joined by guest Justin Robertson, in order to celebrate their 6th birthday in true glitter-bomb fashion. The renowned Farringdon venue, Dans le Noir?, is hijacking the senses of London’s clubbers with this entirely unique experience. On Friday 22nd April, they’re launching an event that’s giving the ever-popular silent disco trend one hell of a twist. Not only will you enjoy the thrill of partying with headphones, but you’ll also be able to explore (albeit not with you eyes) the Chill Out dark room. Talk about dancing like no one’s watching! Entry to the event, which will run weekly, is £19 (but only £9 if you’ve eaten in the restaurant beforehand). It also includes the silent disco headphones and a free cocktail or drink.

wonder.land, the new digitally revamped adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, which is running at The National Theatre, comes with a free exhibition. This immersive and interactive installation aims to signify the strange online/offline crossover our world is currently faced with. Here, you’ll get to experience a virtual reality music video with a 360° landscape of pulsating gardens, play with a physically reactive Kinect version of the wonderland and even meet an Augmented Reality magic mirror wall.
