Alright everyone, gird your loins! The Devil Wears Prada is getting its much deserved time in the limelight at Taste Film’s immersive dining film screenings which means its time to get your Miranda Priestly approved outfits on and head to the big screen.
With London Fashion Week on the horizon, we’ve got your fabulous September plans sorted with a couture fueled culinary experience that’s the perfect mix of fashion and food. Hosted at The Refinery City Point by Drake & Morgan in Moorgate in partnership with Taste Films, who have hosted experiences with films like Harry Potter, Dirty Dancing, Wolf of Wall Street ,and Love, Actually. How does it work? Five dishes and drinks will be served at precise moments in the film and mirror whatever food or drink is on the screen for you to eat what you see.
The experience kicks things off with a NYC fashion-inspired Bagels over Bottega that features mini smoked salmon cream cheese bagels that won’t garner any comments over onion bagel breath (we’re looking at you Andy Sachs). It’s then followed by an 8oz sirloin steak served with chimichurri sauce, lyonnaise potatoes and tenderstem broccoli fit for a Miranda Priestly approved meal. For drinks, a hot vanilla espresso martini will be served as an homage to the endless coffee runs that Andy is sent on, followed by a delicious porn star royale cocktail to add a slice of glamour from the Big Apple. Be sure to leave room for dessert with A Taste for Paris, a sweet chocolate ganache topped with roasted strawberries.
Screenings take place on select Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in September and October with two screenings a day, so it’s time to ditch the ‘hideous skirt convention you have to go to’, slip on those Jimmy Choos and release your inner fashionista.
Tickets go on sale on August 24 – head to Taste Films’ official website here for more information and to buy tickets.
