Whether you’re ordering a Chinese or a chicken burger, a poké bowl or a pizza – everyone has an opinion on where’s best to find their chosen feast on Deliveroo. But the only way to settle the score fairly is to leave it to a vote. So here you have, as decided by Deliveroo users across the city, the winners of the London Deliveroo Restaurant Awards 2024. From the best breakfast to the most sustainable restaurant, these are the top places to order from according to London’s foodies…
1. 7bone – Best Burger & American
From their dry-aged beef burgers and dirty fries to their buttermilk chicken tenders and thick cut brioche sandos, 7bone’s drool-worthy menu screams more is more. And more is what the people want!
2. Aloha Poké – Best Poké
With over 10 choices for protein alone, Aloha Poké cuts no corners with their bowls. There’s plenty of perfectly curated signature bowls to choose from, or you can let your creativity run wild and build your own.
3. BONA pizzeria – Best Pizza
What constitutes the perfect pizza is an issue that will forever be hotly contested. But clearly you can’t argue with BONA’s 24-hour fermented dough and top-quality toppings, because they’ve taken the crown for London’s best in the Deliveroo Restaurant Awards this year.
4. Coqfighter – Best Chicken
Good fried chicken is not hard to come by in London. But Coqfighter’s East meets West approach is here to ruffle feathers amongst the competition.
5. Eggslut – Best Coffee & Breakfast
Whilst a few other choice ingredients feature on Eggslut’s menu, it’s important to remember they are backup dancers. These guys are passionate about one thing, and one thing only. And honestly, we can’t think of a better way to start the day than with silky free range eggs in a warm brioche bun with a freshly brewed coffee.
6. Kiyoto Sushi – Best Sushi
The freshest ingredients, genius flavour combinations and delightful textures are what takes Kiyoto Sushi’s sushi to the next level. This is your sign to get your chop-sticks around their tuna crunch roll!
7. KOI Ramen – Best Japanese
Serving up some of the best broth in town, KOI Ramen is King of restorative Japanese cuisine bursting with flavour. Give their pork tonkotsu a go with a side of grilled gyozas, if you haven’t already.
8. Kricket – Best Indian & Nepalese
The words ‘butter chicken butter’ alone are enough to have our thumbs automatically reaching for the Deliveroo app. But every dish on Kricket’s modern Indian menu has played a part in accruing such a loyal customer base it has amassed over the years.
9. Tai – Best Thai
You’ll find many of your favourites on tai (meaning south)’s mouth watering menu, from Pad Thai noodles to Massaman curry. But don’t overlook their other dishes such as sweetcorn bites, crab fried rice and duck red curry!
10. ULI – Best Chinese
ULI’s menu offers a carefully curated selection of dishes from across Asia, all of which are to die for. But special attention must be paid to their Chinese offering – including everything from the crispiest aromatic duck and spicy hunan pork dumplings to succulent Szechuan chilli prawns and wonton soup.
11. Shake Shack – Most Sustainable
They’re known across the globe for their burgers, but Shake Shack is also doing bits for the environment at the same time as serving up perfect patties, including sourcing their ingredients in accordance with strict animal welfare practices and using sustainable materials.
12. Quaggy’s Kitchen – Rider Love
Quaggy’s Kitchen is South East London’s answer to your hearty, authentic Indian takeaway. As well as doing a top notch job of keeping the community happy with top notch food, these guys also go the extra mile to do more for their Deliveroo Riders as well.
13. Pizza Pilgrims – Best Customer Innovator
Pizza Pilgrims might be purists as far as their slow proved Neapolitan dough is concerned, but they’ve definitely torn up the rule book when it comes to toppings. Alongside their perfectly executed classics (margherita, mushroom and truffle, pepperoni and hot honey etc.) you can also enjoy pizzas such as the 8 cheese with smoked chilli jam, the Carbonara, and the Americana topped with hot dogs and french fries.
14. White Men Can’t Jerk – Regional Restaurant of the Year
It’s quite the accolade to receive in a city full of outstanding eateries, but the votes of the Deliveroo Restaurant Awards are in, and despite what their falsely modest name would imply, these men clearly can jerk very well indeed. Their jerk chicken brioche buns, curry goat croquettes and spiced fries really are the stuff of dreams.
