Sir David Attenborough just got a new tribute.
When it comes to a national treasure as beloved as Sir David Attenborough, you can never stop finding ways to honour him. Take the Attenborough-themed rave that pitched up last year, for instance. Now, there’s a new and very creative tribute to the man himself – an Attenborough mural that’s appeared in Bethnal Green.
(Speaking of Sir David, here’s a fascinating talk that goes behind the scenes of Planet Earth II.)
Rather appropriately, the mural has appeared on the side of Wholesale Tropicals, a store dedicated to the care and sale of tropical fish. It’s the work of street artist and activist Jerome Davenport (AKA @ketones6000), who was looking to honour a man “who inspired so many generations to care about the flora and fauna around us”. Preach!
You’ll find the mural find on St Matthew’s Row, E2 6AB, just a stone’s throw away from Brick Lane.
