A gourd-geous celebration of autumn comes to Covent Garden with the return of their Halloween Pumpkin Market.
If you’ve not managed to hit the pumpkin patches in search of your perfect jack-o’-lantern, fear not – for the pumpkin patch is coming to you. From October 29 – 31, Covent Garden will welcome its Halloween Pumpkin Market back, bringing over 200 pumpkins, squashes and gourds to the famous piazza, and giving you the perfect excuse to fill your home with seasonal veg.
Covent Garden’s Apple Market (the central covered market, just FYI) will be going back to its roots as a house of fresh produce this month. Pumpkins, squashes, and gourds in all shapes and sizes will be on display, so you’ll be able to snag pumpkins for carving whilst also picking up squashes for autumnal decoration – and to inspire your cornucopia, the Pumpkin Market will be filled with fresh flower displays created by Maison De Fleurs.
Lots of eye candy to enjoy, then! Luckily, there are an equally tempting smorgasbord of treats you can tuck into, with Covent Garden’s food and drink outlets creating pumpkin-inspired offerings and pop-ups in tribute to the season. For instance, Whittard of Chelsea will serve a variety of limited edition hot drinks, Ladurée will sell seasonal macaron boxes, burger heroes Byron will cook up spicy Hot Trick Burgers, and Mrs Riot will serve spooky cocktails for the occasion. ‘The Bloody Bus’ will serve bloody marys on a 1980 double decker metro bus, and Feast It will provide even more delicious food across the piazza. As you’d expect, pumpkin spice lattes will be available in plenty – so pop down to Covent Garden this Halloween Weekend to see the full bounty of autumn!
