It’s Pride Month and the entire city is gearing up for another joyous celebration ahead of the official Pride in London festivities. Covent Garden are celebrating on an epic scale this year, transforming the estate into a rainbow-inspired haven, to show off your Pride and even take part in their charitable initiatives.
Throughout the month, an array of vibrant activities and colourful installations will completely transform Covent Garden to celebrate all forms of love and help out the local community.
Shining bright throughout Pride Month:
The most distinctive is their fabulous Market Building, with both the interior and exterior shining bright with an immersive light installation of rainbow colours. Taking place daily between 7 – 11pm, the internal light installation will showcase a colourful light show, whilst on Saturday 29th June, the exterior of the iconic building will be lit up in rainbow colours to celebrate London’s annual Pride parade.
There’s also a stunning floral display and photo opportunity, curated just for Pride Month. Snap up some pics or simply relax on the new ‘Flowering with Pride’ swing bench surrounded by a beautiful display of plants that span all colours of the rainbow.
For every picture posted to social media featuring the hashtag #CoventGardenPride, Covent Garden will donate £1 to akt, a charity supporting LGBTQ+ young people who are experiencing homelessness in the UK. So, be sure to check it out and post your pic before the month is over!
