Let’s set the scene: it’s a balmy summer evening, you’re sitting amidst a pretty Georgian garden listening to incredible live music, with a refreshing cold cocktail in hand, flicking off the condensation as it drips onto your fingers. Bliss, right? Well, this dream need not be a figment of your imagination; with tickets to Cocktails In The City, it will become reality this summer.
Whether you prefer a tart margarita or a sweet mojito, London’s leading cocktail event is a must-visit. With a series of charming popups in Bloomsbury’s Bedford Square Gardens, Cocktails In The City will bring together the capital’s finest bars on the second weekend of July – next week! – August and September. Guests are invited to indulge in an afternoon or evening of drinks, music, food, cocktail-making classes and so. much. more. The gardens, which are tucked just behind The British Museum, are London’s largest private Georgian gardens, and make for an utterly stunning setting for the event.
On July 7–9, August 11–13 and September 10–13, you can enjoy anything and everything ‘cocktail’ – from classes to tutored tastings, blending sessions to straight-up sampling the good stuff by the glass. Cocktails In The City have handpicked the selection of bars in attendance, so only the best of the best will be there to whet your tastebuds. Blind Pig, Coupette, and Boiler and Company are just a few examples of those you can expect to see. There will be an abundance of new signature cocktails created exclusively for the event by the capital’s most creative bartenders.
Not only will the event pander to the cocktail connoisseur in you, but there’ll be a whole host of entertainment too. You can put yourself in the heart of the action with a competitive game of shuffle boarding, brought to you by London Shuffle Club, super cool ice carving (pun intended) from Ice Carving Cool, and even let loose on the dance floor at the silent disco from Monkey Shoulder Whisky and Callooh Callay.
All the excitement is sure to work up an appetite, so you’ll be pleased to hear a selection of delicious street food popups will be at Cocktails In The City. Whether you’re lining your stomach or pairing the high-quality cocktails with your meal, there’ll be an array of worldly cuisines to choose from.
Each ticket, which costs £20pp, entitles you to a four-hour afternoon session (from 12pm on Friday and Saturdays) or a five-hour evening session (from 5pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday), plus your choice of welcome cocktail. Additional drinks are just £8.50 – well below the average London cocktail prices. So, grab your friends or your partner, and find yourselves at the finest cocktail event in town.
