Step right up, folks! Thtoughout July, the beloved Clown Festival has made its grand return to Soho Theatre, turning this legendary institution in the heart of the West End into a big top of hilarity and hijinks. Whether you’re a seasoned fan of the circus and clowning, or are simply on the hunt for a quick dose of joy, this unmissable festival promises a carnival of comedy that’s jam-packed with seasoned performers, who all take part in the timeless art form from countries all over the world!
Roll up, roll up, for London’s annual Clown Festival…
Taking over two London locations, both Soho Theatre and Jackson Lane Theatre, the Clown Festival brings a fantastic lineup of clowns and performers from across the globe, each bringing their unique blend of slapstick, satire, and sheer silliness. From the gut-busting antics of classic clown buffoonery, to more thought-provoking performances from contemporary clowning, there’s a show for every sense of humor and comedy style.
Highlights from this year’s iteration include The London Clown Festival Opening Cabaret, where you can see a mix of artists from across the festival and decide who to pop back for. There are also some fabulous shows from Edinburgh Fringe taking part, such as Paulina Lenoir: Puella Eterna and Lost Cabaret.
However, there are so many fantastic shows on offer throughout the festival. If you’re interested in checking out the entire lineup and booking tickets, visit their website here.
