As we dash around London, hunting for the best cheap eats and affordable meals in London, we often think back to the days when an incredible sub-£10 meal was a common affair. But that’s just wishful thinking, right? At least it was, until the acclaimed Indian fine dining restaurant, The Cinnamon Club, debuted a special 25th anniversary menu earlier this year. The retro menu took diners back to 2001 with throwback dishes and prices to match. And now, that same retro menu is set to go on tour around London this spring and summer.
Following the sell-out success of the retro menu at The Cinnamon Club earlier this year, Vivek Singh is bringing the offer back. And this time it will be available at a number of the Cinnamon Collection’s many other venues, on a rolling basis.
Where and when to enjoy the Cinnamon Collection retro menu
Throughout the spring and summer of 2026, the special menu (with special prices to boot) will be available at the following locations:
- Cinnamon Kitchen Battersea: April 6 – April 19
- Cinnamon Kitchen City: May 4 – May 18
- Cinnamon Bazaar Richmond: May 26 – June 7
- The Cinnamon Club: August 10 – August 22

Said Executive Chef Vivek Singh:
“When we created the Retro Menu at The Cinnamon Club, the response from guests was incredible. Many of these dishes hold a special place in our story, and taking the menu on tour felt like the perfect way to share that experience with the wider Cinnamon community across London.”
How much have prices changed since 2001?
Now, sure, 2001 doesn’t seem that long ago. But it’s already been almost a quarter of a century since the year came and went. (Boy, does that make me feel old.) But how much have prices really changed since then?’ you might ask. Well, you’d be surprised…
Nowadays, a cup of coffee tends to cost between £4-5, whether it’s from a specialty coffee shop or a chain cafe. But back in 2001, according to the Bank of England Inflation Calculator, the equivalent cost would have been a measly £2. And those £7 (or more!) beers you knock back after work? Back in 2001, the same pints would have been valued at less than £4!
Suffice it to say, it’s no mean feat for the Cinnamon Club to return to its 2001 prices. Especially with menu items that start at a paltry £5!
