London has officially undergone its annual festive glow-up, with twinkling lights and tinsel-clad trees adorning every corner of the city. But if you’re still in the market for your own Christmas tree, fear not. We’ve compiled a list of farms and shops in and around the capital, where you can snap up (or in some cases, chop down) your very own seasonal spruce.
1. Neal’s Nurseries Garden Centre

Nestled on the northern corner of Wandsworth Common, Neal’s Nurseries is beloved by locals – and has been providing gorgeous greenery to Londoners since 1850. Blimey. Open seven days a week, there’s never a bad time to pop in and peruse their huge selection of picture-perfect pine and fir trees. They also have a fully-stocked Christmas shop for you to pick up some decorations, seasonal snacks, or a couple of gifts. They’ve got it all, really.
📍 You’ll find Neal’s Nurseries Garden Centre at Heathfield Road, SW18 3HR.

2. Alexandra Palace Garden Centre

Another one-stop shop for all your Christmassy needs is Alexandra Palace Garden Centre. They’ve got Christmas trees, Christmas shopping, and even the chance to have a Christmassy breakfast with Santa on Saturdays and Sundays throughout December. Run by the same company as Neal’s Nurseries; both garden centres also offer a ‘Return Your Tree’ scheme. If you return your pot-grown tree to them before January 15, it will be planted in a Royal Berkshire woodland.
📍 You’ll find Alexandra Palace Garden Centre at Alexandra Palace Way, N22 7BB.

3. Pines and Needles

Much like those on your tree, you’ll find Pines and Needles all over the place in the lead-up to Christmas. They’ve got a rather hefty 20 locations spanning the length and breadth of the capital. From Barnes, Battersea and Brick Lane to Kingston, Camden, and Clissold Park; it will – quite frankly – be a Christmas miracle if you don’t have a Pines and Needles branch near you. Having started out in Scotland in 1995, when the founders were just teenagers; the company has flourished and thrived since then, and now the kilt-clad tree-vendors are a staple of Christmas-in-London. They even sold Prince Harry a tree back in 2016…
📍 You’ll find Pines and Needles at various London locations.

4. Camden Garden Centre

You’ll be hard pressed to find a tree supplier with more Chrismassy clout than Camden Garden Centre, considering that they’re selected to supply London institutions like the London Dungeon, Tower Bridge, and No. 11 Downing Street (home of the Chancellor of the Exchequer) with their festive fir trees each year. You’ll also be able to find a huge selection of lights, garlands, wreaths, and baubles – so your entire house can be decked out with one easy visit.
📍 You’ll find Camden Garden Centre at 2 Barker Drive, NW1 0JW.

5. Columbia Road Flower Market
We couldn’t possibly do a roundup of where to buy a Christmas tree in London without mentioning this floral gem. On top of the abundance of blooming gorgeous flowers; Columbia Road Flower Market is also a pretty fantastic spot to grab your Christmas tree. A perfect Sunday-in-December activity, we reckon.
📍 You’ll find Columbia Road Flower Market at Columbia Road, E2 7RG.

6. South London Christmas Tree Farm

Despite the (mildly misleading) name, this farm is actually in Kent, but well-worth the journey, as far as we’re concerned. Serving up Christmas cheer by the pot-load, South London Christmas Tree Farm is a well-oiled machine, having been selling Christmas trees for over 35 years. Their stock tends to sell-out pretty fast, though, so check out their opening times and get yourself over there pronto.
📍 You’ll find South London Christmas Tree Farm at Westwood Farm, Rock Hill, Kent, BR6 7PP.

7. Crockford Bridge Farm

This family-run farm is possibly the most wholesome place you can snap up a Christmas tree, as it’s one of the few spots that allows you to not only select the exact tree you’d like to take home with you, but cut it down yourself. If you do want to cut your own tree, booking is essential. If you’re not quite so outdoorsy, and want someone else to cut it down for you, Crockford Bridge Farm’s pre-cut selection of trees are just as lovely, and don’t require you to book in advance.
📍 You’ll find Crockford Bridge Farm at New Haw Road, Weybridge, KT15 2BU.

8. Kingsley Farm Christmas Trees

Open everyday between November 23 and December 23, Kingsley Farm Christmas Trees is giving you ample time to whack on your wellies and head over to buy your seasonal spruce. If you’re not choosing one to be specifically cut for you, they operate a handy colour coded system to determine how big the tree you’re choosing is. Because there’s nothing worse than getting home and realising the tree that you thought was 5-foot is actually 12-foot. Not that I’m speaking from experience, or anything…
📍 You’ll find Kingsley Farm at Blackberry Road, Felcourt, Lingfield, RH7 6NQ.

So, there you have it – 8 of the very best places to snap yourself up a Christmas tree in and around London. I hate to break it to you, but it might be time to start untangling the muddle of fairy lights that you chaotically shoved into a box back in January…
