London is home to a veritable glut of ice-cream spots. There’s always somewhere close by to cool down with a sweet treat when the temperatures climb. But perhaps London’s most notorious ice-cream parlour is Chin Chin, which is famed for its unique liquid-nitrogen ice-cream. The brand is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, and to celebrate, they’ve brought back their most celebrated and bizarre flavours from the past. Throughout the summer, Chin Chin is slinging old faves with ingredients ranging from strawberry to goat’s cheese, and even tobacco.
Now, Chin Chin already has a pretty unique base product, since their ice cream is made using liquid nitrogen. But they’re also famous for their no-holds-barred approach to flavours. And yet, even the strangest-sounding of their flavours are downright delicious. This is the place, after all, that managed to make a scrumptious potato peel soft serve.
Among the weirdest flavours that have returned from Chin Chin’s past are Coffee & Tobacco, Green Grass, Hazelnut & Kikos (aka fried corn), and Pumpkin Seed Milk. But it’s not all wild flavours and wacky creations. Some of the returning flavours are downright indulgent. The less polarising flavours include the likes of Apple Butter Pie, Scones Cream Tea, and Blueberry Buttermilk Pancake.

Chin Chin brunch
But Chin Chin isn’t stopping at bringing back their cult flavours. They’ve also launched a new series of menu items to celebrate their birthday. They’re debuting some seriously indulgent brunch dishes for Londoners to chow down on.
The brunch-inspired dessert series kicks off with Banana Bread Toast & Honey Butter Ice Cream. Big enough for two to share, the dish features a hazelnut praline centre and is served on a bed of rich fudge sauce, and of course, the brand’s famous ice cream.
The brunch dessert series is available from the ice cream parlour’s Soho site on Sundays from open (1pm) until sold out. The brunch dishes are baked in limited quantities, so get there early to ensure you don’t miss out!
