Candlelight Original Sessions: Rich The Kid
Influenced by legends like Nas, Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac, as well as Georgia-based rappers T.I. and Jeezy, Rich the Kid got his start in Atlanta using the name “Black Boy the Kid”. It wasn’t too long after he adopted his new name that he started gaining traction in the hip hop and trap scene. Rooted in trap and hard core hip hop, Rich Kid’s music is packed with dark beats and energetic flows. But what really has him connect with his audiences are his lyrics, which mainly deal with the struggle to attain success, often reflecting his own journey from humble beginnings to fame.
This September, you’ll be able to experience his dynamic hits in a new light, surrounded by a sea of twinkling candles at a sensational Rich the Kid x Candlelight linkup. Accompanied by a professional violinist, his songs will take new form inside the Methodist church/venue — the historic Central Hall Westminster.
From celebrating classical composers to modern-day artists, Candlelight is globally known for its diverse tributes. This season, for one night only, it presents a unique collab with a chart-topping rapper on 6 September.
The concert starts at 21:30 and it lasts 60 minutes. Doors open 45 minutes before the start time and late entry is not permitted. Tickets are sold in categories and seating is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis in each zone.
