It’s only October, so we’d be quite impressed if you’d started working on your 2020 fitness goals already.
But if you’re looking for the perfect incentive to take on a new challenge early next year then read on for an event that’s set to be snow much fun!
Returning on Sunday 9 February, the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 2020 will be taking over the streets of central London.
The UK’s largest 10K, starting in Trafalgar Square, has previously greeted runners with a Swiss Chalet themed Drinks Station and Husky high fives before you run past the much-loved Penguin Party. With DJs dotted along the course to keep motivation levels high, once you cross the finish line at Downing Street you’ll receive a warm hug from some Polar Bears and pick up an intricately designed, shiny and sparkly, chunky medal to commemorate your achievement.
The celebrations don’t stop here though, as live music on the steps of Trafalgar Square promises to keep the party going. Over time, this race has become known for its quirky winter experiences throughout, so we’re expecting big things!
Although not compulsory, runners can fundraise for Cancer Research UK, and receive an exclusive running vest or t-shirt, a unique fundraiser medal and access to the exclusive fundraiser marquee. You’ll find some inspiration to boost your fundraising here with plenty of handy tips to help.
Thousands of people are expected to fill the streets, making their way past London’s most iconic landmarks. Spaces are limited to 25,000, and in previous years the event has sold out, so now’s the time to grab your friends and get training before you take to the streets of London this February.
Ready to get training? Sign up before Wednesday 27th November to guarantee your place at a lower price here.
