Who doesn’t have a big, disorganised, occasionally rowdy but ridiculously fun group of pals? They seem to spend their time (when they should, supposedly, be busy away at work) pestering your Whatsapp group to find out the plan for the weekend. And it’s only Tuesday. Next time your phone starts desperately buzzing, don’t leave the message trail get 1,750 messages deep before you pipe in. Be prepared with a couple of suggestions from us…
[AMOR]Kick your September off with a night out that’s a little different from the norm – one that’s on a M-F boat. Shuush and AMOR boat join forces to give you the opportunity to party hard while taking in the amazing sights along the Thames, which we must admit, sounds a lot more appealing than another night at Infernos. On 2nd September, the party boat sets sail on the dot at 8pm from Westminster Pier. It features 2 decks of music, a sunroof over the main dance-floor and an outdoor deck. Before the boat rocks too hard, everyone on board will get off and continue the party at Fire, which is open until 6am. Who needs the Night Tube, eh? Tickets are only £5 and you can get them here.
This isn’t a night out for every weekend, unless you’re extremely good at dealing with hangovers. 1 Big Night Out organise daily pub crawls through central London, with entry, drinks & shots included at various watering holes. It’s not often you can say that for only £10 you can actually get boozy at central London bars. You also get free glow sticks, a t-shirt and a pen (to write on said t-shirt) thrown in. This is probably the perfect event if you’re having a reunion with your university gang, as a way to relive those messy student nights. (Who’s ever given ‘Carnage’ a go…? If you have, you’ll know…) For the rest of the night you get discounted drinks at bars such as Piccadilly Institute, Zoo Bar and Bar Rumba. You also get queue-jump at the final club stop. Tickets are £10 and you can book your night on Fever.
[Aqua]The Late Night Cocktail Club has once again teamed up with DAYZED for another one of their incredible brunch parties at Aqua – one of London’s ultimate rooftop bars. On 10th September, feast on delicious food and drink with a backdrop of great music at this exclusive location on Regent Street. Aqua has 3 terraces, 2 restaurants and stunning views across the heart of London and, in celebration The Yacht Week’s summer coming to a close, DAYZED will be taking over the whole place. To get the full experience, buy the brunch ticket and head over there at 11am or, for only £16, you can skip the food and go straight to the day party at 12 noon, before continuing into the night at the after party (which carries on from 10pm). You can find out more info and book you tickets here.
[Barhopping UK]We all tend to make the age-old mistake when drinking copious amounts of booze… we fail to eat accordingly and, before we know it, we end up peaking at 10pm and rolling into bed with a half chewed Maccies. Thankfully, Barhopping UK get the balance just right. Alongside the free shots, you get unlimited pizza in the first bar – Zebranos in Soho. Pizza is always a good idea and it’s a particularly wise choice for lining the stomach. There are two bars following, which each hand out welcome shots and discount deals for drinks. You finally end up in the ‘da club’ (still in Soho). The crawl runs every Thursday, Friday and Saturday and is only £12 for the night. You can book the whole gang in on Fever here.
[Pizza Buzz]For some slightly more civilised pizza-filled fun, Pizza Buzz’s boozy brunch is perfect for a squad get together. Every Saturday, the restaurant in Shoreditch put on a tasty feast, which includes either bottomless Prosecco or beer. You also get to create your very own pizza, with a choice of base (there are 5 to pick from, including a gluten free option) and 3 delish toppings. So it’s easy to keep everyone (even the fuss-pots of the group) happy. For all of this you only pay £29.95, which is less than your weekly Oyster travelcard and far more enjoyable than the Central line. So skip the Underground this week, head to Pizza Buzz and burn off the calories on your walk home. Boom. Book your spot for yourself and the whole group here.
