How about a heated game of bingo featuring a spicy drag show, bottomless bubbly and HOT guys – all in one event? That’s right, Buff Bingo has all of that and much more (trust me, I have seen it).
As someone who enjoys an occasional dose of risqué humour and just the right amount of unhinged, I was thrilled to see what this brunch was all about. Set in Vauxhall, this spicy bingo show brings you to a different world where something unexpected happens every moment. Since curiosity got the best of me, I’ve decided to give it a go. Spoiler alert: abs were abs-olutely everywhere.
First impression
Honestly, once we entered the venue, I wasn’t really sure what was going on at first. It’s not every day I’m surrounded by shirtless waiters and booze (no judgment if you are). There were definitely lots of people celebrating special occasions, too. Birthdays, hen dos, and anything in between – brunchers were in party mode. Glitter, fun outfits, all the good stuff.
Once we ordered our food and were properly settled at our table, the bingo was about to begin. Little did I know, this was going to be way crazier than I anticipated. And I’m not talking about barely dressed staff or shocking jokes, the experience made my jaw drop later on…
It’s all fun and bingo games
The drag show really stood out to me. The queens were pure genius, blending pop culture references with cheeky comedy and some truly fabulous performances. Plus, they were quite impressive DJs too!
I have to admit, this was my first time playing bingo, but I ended up having fun. There were two games, with two rounds each. All we had to do was circle the number on the paper and complete a line or a full window to win. As long as you stay focused on the numbers and keep up with the banter, you definitely have a shot at winning. Personally, I felt really confident about the game. And I don’t want to spoil all the juicy details, but I really wish I had listened more carefully…
Expect the unexpected
When I first entered the venue and noticed the waiters in aprons, I wondered what chaos would ensue. During the bingo game, I finally found out. They were not only there to indicate bottomless service, but to give some guests a personal show, involving a lap dance, with a spank thrown in (all consensual, of course). Since I managed to mess up my bingo game, I happened to experience the latter… And I will say, while not what I expected would happen to me on a Saturday afternoon, at brunch, it was definitely unlike any brunch I’ve experienced before.
Final thoughts
After visiting Buff Bingo, I can honestly say it’s more than just your typical brunch; it’s a rather risqué drag party with lots to see and giggle about. In 4+ hours, you truly experience all sorts of fun. From lap dance sets that made me blush, to getting my own backside tickled, it felt quite chaotic. I could definitely see this becoming a must-do on anyone’s hen-do list. Plus, for any single girlies or guys looking to spend Galentine’s more cheekily, this has to be it.
