Black Rock Tavern – Islay Pub Takeover
Black Rock Tavern, the top floor of London’s iconic whisky bar, Black Rock, has been transformed into a traditional Islay pub this winter. Where, punters have been delighting in palate-pleasing whisky flights and highballs, and now, for this special day there’s an extra addition – indulge in a Burns Night special – the limited edition Scottish Whisky Sour Barrel-Aged Beer.
Born out of a love for the whisky sour and beer, this charity beer is a cutting-edge sustainable beverage from sour beer heroes, Vault City, created in partnership with Bruichladdich and fellow environmentally-friendly B Corp Brewgooders.
Brewed in Edinburgh and barrel-aged for a whopping 9 months to infuse it with the characteristic taste of Bruichladdich’s unpeated Islay single malt, this unique beer will transport you straight to the Inner Hebrides! Fancy picking up a bottle? Black Rock is the first and only bar in London where you can source this heavenly thirst-quencher, but with limited stock you better head over early to get your hands on some!
And, did we mention the feel-good factor of this delicious beer? With every litre sold, Bruichladdich will fund 1,000 litres of clean water to communities through Brewgooder’s ‘Billion Pint Pledge’ – so you can sip while doing your bit! Now, that’s a noble cause we can get behind!
