Tomorrow (March 8) marks International Women’s Day, and over at BOXPARK Croydon, you’ll be able to bear witness to some of the finest bars to celebrate, courtesy of BYOB Poetry South.
A free one-off event is gracing the stage between 6:30pm – 10pm, with an all-female lineup of poetry through the night. Rise Felicia and Ms Lee will present the event, including the highly-anticipated headliner Fatima El Eify.
And, any budding spoken word performers can even show of their skills by signing up to a slot in the evening, with the entry starting at 6:30pm, operating on a first-come-first-served basis for a four-minute slot.
Guests will also be entertained between slots by DJ Granil, serving out tunes to compliment the fantastic performances on the evening.
Those hoping to attend will need to book their free ticket, and arrive early to guarantee entry. Final entry is at 8:30pm, but the event could fill before this so organisers recommend arriving sooner.
Headliner Fatima El Eify’s revered work can be read on her Instagram page, where you can also find links to purchase her book of poetry, titled IF IT IS ANY CONSTELLATION.
