If East Asian fare is your cuisine of choice, then woah, do we have a treat for you: this spring, the thoroughly tantalising Bon Appétit: Festival of Asian Food will come to London. This tasty three-day food festival will champion the likes of ramen, bao buns, noodles… everything we love, basically.
Between May 20–22, if you wander under arches of Leake Street – the 300-metre street art hub in the heart of Waterloo – you’ll happen upon a variety of market stalls, workshops and cooking demos honouring East Asian cuisine. Under the grand graffiti-laden arches, Bon Appétit will promote more than just the area’s traditional gastronomy; the wider culture of East Asia will be celebrated too, with musical performances.
Enticing guests with their sensational spices and colourful dishes, Bon Appétit market stalls will serve a vast selection of meat and vegan-friendly options, from dumplings to curries, stir fries to noodle soup (mm, noodle soup). Drinks will be available to purchase, alongside the culinary delights. And, if sampling the fare isn’t enough to satisfy your love of the cuisine, be sure to partake in the weekend’s workshops, and attend the cooking demos and talks, where you can soak up some of the speakers’ gastronomic expertise.
The event, which is exclusive to Fever, will have multiple three-hour slots available between the Friday afternoon and Sunday evening – you can choose whichever suits your schedule best. It’ll be a fun-filled (and belly-filling) weekend. Bon appétit!
