Soho has gotten a new Italian hotspot laden with sleek marble countertops, dishes from a myriad of Italian regions, and a sexy underground speakeasy on the way. The opening of the Soho location comes after the restaurant’s first London outpost in Mayfair which won the Best Luxury Restaurant at the British Restaurants Awards in 2023.
Bocconcino Soho is all about showcasing the skill and theatre of Italian dining, with an open-plan kitchen where you can watch their signature wood-fired pizzas made with traditional Roman dough get fired up, and a focus on Venetian cicchetti dishes which are at the heart of the menu.
Under the helm of Head Chef Simone Serafini, the menu takes guests on an indulgent journey all over Italy, from Tuscany to Rome, and Sicily to Florence with an exciting tasting menu soon to come. Expect standout dishes such as their iconic tagliatelle with black truffle and the spicy pizza diavola. Along with tartare di tonne (tuna tartare), parmigiana de melanzane (aubergine parmigiana), taviolo di gamberi e branzino con tartufo nero (ravioli with prawns, seafood & black truffle) and more on Bocconcino’s cicchetti front.
Drinks are given the same love and attention as the food at Bocconcino, with an extensive cocktail selection created by Head Bartender Simone De Rosa. The cocktail menu features classic and contemporary tipples including Tuscan Herb Walk where herb-infused gin is mixed with Cointreau, rosé wine reduction and grapefruit juice, and Amalfi Twilight which is a blend of vodka, Aperol, strawberry and Amalfi lemon cordial, soda, and prosecco.
For any wine aficionados, Bocconcino has a standout wine list featuring an expansive selection of regional Italian varietals chosen by Head Sommelier Ennio Pucciarelli to transport you to an Italian vineyard, alongside well-known grapes from across the globe. Speaking of drinks, October will see the exciting opening of Bocconcino’s dashing underground speakeasy bar, Sotto, which promises to be a vibrant drink destination hidden away from the bustling streets of Soho.
The new opening is Soho’s newest lively dining destination where a rotating line-up of DJs spin upbeat house hits until late from Thursday to Saturday. Saturdays and Sundays will see free-flowing bubbles and unlimited signature pizza for bottomless brunch.
