All the people. So many people. They all go hand-in-hand. Hand-in-hand through their Parklife listening to Blur’s new album live in full before it comes out. Yes, Blur have announced a somewhat intimate (well, for them) London show at Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith to play The Ballad Of Darren in its entirety.
Blur took to the stage in London last weekend for their biggest-ever spectacle in the city; performing two nights at Wembley Stadium for their comeback gigs. It marked their first live shows in the capital since 2015, and is being swiftly followed by another in two week’s time.
After performing to 150,000 over the weekend, Blur will move over to a crowd of just under 3,500 to debut their new album The Ballad Of Darren on July 25. The record comes out four days earlier, and is their first recorded output since 2015’s The Magic Whip.
Matching the occasion, Blur will also be live-streaming the gig for those who don’t manage to make it (or snap up tickets in time) to the gig.
When are Blur tickets on sale?
Tickets for Blur’s show at Eventim Apollo go on sale next week (July 18 at 10am). To receive a link to the tickets, fans will need to have pre-ordered a copy of The Ballad Of Darren from Blur’s official European website.
How do I livestream the Blur concert?
Livestream tickets (priced at £13.50) can be purchased now via the Drift (who are producing the event) website. Kicking off the gig at 9pm, the Britpop legends will plow through the new album over the course of an hour. The concert will be available to watch until July 28 for those that miss the initial showing, and all details on times can be found here.
