Beware, for The Blind Tiger still has bite.
Soho is one of those areas that seems intent on saddling the indecisive with too much choice when it comes to eating and drinking, and now they’re adding another one to the mix. The Blind Tiger is a late-night spot brought to you by the folks at DUM Biryani, and it sounds like an absolute winner.
Open between the hours of 10pm and midnight inside DUM Biryani, The Blind Tiger will make only a brief appearance before stalking off into the night – not unlike the folks out for a night on the tiles. Still, what they do with those two hours looks rather special, mixing delicious small plates with inventive cocktails. Focusing on the cuisine of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, they’ll feature dippable flatbreads, hot and sour wings, and other lip-smacking snacks.
Having said that, the truly exciting part of The Blind Tiger has to be their cocktails, which feature the likes of ‘Gande Sapne’ – a cardamom-spiced espresso martini – and the ‘Monsoon Julep’, which mixes bourbon, peach, mint, and cane sugar. Yes, I shall be having some of that please. Throw in DUM Biryani’s banging hip-hop playlist, and you’ve got a late night Indian spot that’s set to be the envy of many.
The Blind Tiger is open 10pm-midnight on Fridays and Saturdays from August 15th to late September. Find it at 187B Wardour Street, Soho, W1F 8ZB.
