Following her headline appearances at Reading & Leeds Festival this month, Billie Eilish will make another stop-off to join OVERHEATED, a one-off climate activism event in London.
OVERHEATED, which was co-founded by Billie Eilish, made its debut event last year across six days at the O2, and is now coming back for another day of fun and thought-provoking activities at the fabulous Flippers Roller Disco Palace on August 30.
What’s going on at OVERHEATED?
Seeing the Happier Than Ever singer speaking to guests is certain to be the event’s main draw, but there’s also a whole day of talks planned at Flippers between 10am – 5pm. BBC’s Abby McCarthy is hosting the day, and will also be speaking to a host of other guests in the form of panel discussions and community-building activities.
Among the guests speaking at the event are Alice Eady, who is CEO at Earthrise, and fashion entrepreneur Samata Pattison, as well as a host of climate activists including Dominique Palmer.
Plus, each guest will be treated to a complimentary plant-based meal thanks to the good folks at Neat Burger, and there will, of course, be an opportunity to skate at the roller disco palace once the panel talks have ended.
If you can’t make it to the event, then you’ll be pleased to know that everyone and anyone can still tune in, with OVERHEATED being streamed across the globe via Billie Eilish’s YouTube channel. For the majority of us with an interest in this event, that may just be the case – there are just 500 tickets up for grabs tomorrow, which can be purchased from 10am tomorrow (August 16).
OVERHEATED is presented by Support + Feed, a non-profit organisation set up by Maggie Baird, who is the mother of Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas. Support + Feed work to impact the climate crisis and food justice around the world.
Catch OVERHEATED at Flippers Roller Disco Palace (Ariel Way, W12 7SL) on August 20 between 10am – 5pm. Billie Eilish headlines Reading Festival on August 27.
