The exhibition celebrates the life and work of the beloved children’s author.
A Beatrix Potter exhibition of original watercolours, drawings, manuscripts and more is coming to the V&A in February next year.
Beatrix Potter: Drawn To Nature will hit The Porter Gallery (apt, only one letter changed from Potter) to offer a deep and nostalgic dive into the incredible work of the children’s author.
Beatrix Potter created charming tales that have stood the test of time since the early 20th century, most notably titles such as The Tale Of Peter Rabbit, The Tale Of Tom Kitten and The Tale Of Jemima Puddle-Duck. She is heavily renowned for her watercolour artwork, originals of which will be on display in the Drawn To Nature exhibition.
As well as this, guests will be treated to drawings, manuscripts, and personal artefacts such as letters and photographs. It is all being put on display in an aim to showcase the people, places and animals that inspired Beatrix Potter’s iconic characters.
This exhibition will kick off at the V&A from February 12, 2022. Tickets will be available soon from the V&A site, and Drawn To Nature will be free to members.
