Hold on to your hats, folks – I’m about to give you some extremely cute news. Later this month, a London street food market is transforming into the ultimate pooch paradise, as it becomes the very first street food market – especially for dogs. I told you it was going to be cute…
In celebration of National Dog Day (August 26), Market Place Vauxhall is turning into Barket Place Vauxhall – and will be welcoming furry friends of the capital city to enjoy a darn good dogs dinner over the August bank holiday weekend.
Alongside the usual scrumptious street food that the market has on offer for humans, the vendors have carefully created gourmet, dog-friendly versions of their dishes. Inamo Sukoshi will be serving up a ‘Pawsome Poke’, Wicked Fish will be delighting doggos with their ‘Hound-dock & Chips’, and Yorkshire Burrito will be getting tails wagging with their ‘Yorkie-shire Pudding’. And that’s just to name a few of the pup-specials on offer. And the very best part? Your pooch’s meal will be completely free with purchases made at participating vendors. It’s absolutely paw-fect.
This unique (and absolutely adorable) event is in keeping with Market Place’s commitment to being a dog-friendly venue, welcoming furry friends of all sizes, all year round. So, mark bark it in your calendar and go and have a truly paw-some time.
Holly Hilton, Marketing Director of Market Place, said: “Nothing’s too far-fetched for Market Place – we as a brand are very proud to be dog-friendly across our venues. Being able to run Barket Place in honour of National Dog Day only illustrates this further.
“Barket Place is all about celebrating the bond between people and their pets, with delicious food options available to both. It’s an extension of our year-round commitment to being a dog-friendly venue, where dogs of all sizes are welcome to dine alongside their human companions.”
Barket Place will be taking place from August 24 to August 26 at Market Place Vauxhall, 7 South Lambeth Place, SW8 1SP. Find out more and plan your visit here.
