Bar Elba is home to a ravishing rooftop cinema, and tickets are on sale.
Thank goodness that London is a city of rooftops, because that perfect mix of views, fresh air, and glorious rooftop spaces makes for some truly wonderful nights in the city. As outdoor spaces became the destination du jour for our post-lockdown soirees, Bar Elba emerged as an early saviour, in part thanks to their popular rooftop cinema, which will be bringing open air movie nights to the heart of Waterloo until October 31. You can find your tickets here, or read on for more information.
Heading up to the roof to catch flicks under the stars sounds like a pretty dreamy way to spend an evening, doesn’t it? Bar Elba have got a lineup of films that caters to everyone; Grease and Dirty Dancing will get you shimmying and grooving, A Star Is Born and Black Panther will keep you riveted, and Bridesmaids and The Hangover will have you splitting your sides with laughter. Oh, and once October rolls around, the likes of Scream, Friday 13th, Hocus Pocus, Get Out, and Nightmare on Elm Street will satisfy horror fans!
The films are only part of the attraction, however, as your cinemagoing experience is made even better with popcorn, sweets, and even an hour of bottomless prosecco or beer to toast our grand return to being somewhere, anywhere that isn’t our flats. Every booking includes popcorn, sweets, and a set of headphones, the better to truly immerse yourself in the magic of the big screen, and you can opt for standard (one drink), premium (two drinks), and unlimited (one hour of bottomless beer or bubbles) packages to suit your thirst. It’s an excellent combo deal, and starts at just £25 for an entire night of drinks, snacks, and entertainment.
The roof’s the place to be this summer, so mosey on down to experience a night of total cinematic enchantment!
