Okay, okay, okay… I can say it now: Banksy is definitely up to something. There’s a fourth kind animal that’s joined the street artist’s kingdom, and it comes in the form of a wolf looking to the sky and howling into the London night.
At least, it was. Right after the image was posted on Instagram – just as the first three artworks were earlier this week – footage appeared online of the satellite dish with the wolf on being taken from its spot in Peckham by a group of masked men.

It’s the fourth instalment in what’s clearly become a series of works on the streets of London this week, with the street artist posting a photo a day. On Monday we had the goat in Kew. Tuesday brought with it the pair of elephants in Chelsea. Wednesday a trio of monkeys in Brick Lane. Thursday’s lone wolf in Peckham added to the excitement, but who knows what will become of it now?
Like each other artwork this week, Banksy took to Instagram to post an image of the wolf presented without caption, leaving viewers to take to the comments to debate the meaning of each piece.

It’s not the first time Banksy’s work has gone walkabout, either. Earlier this year, the artist posted an image of a piece on a traffic sign with three drones in Peckham, which also only lasted a few hours before it too appeared to be taken by a member of the public with a pair of bolt cutters
Will the working week be capped off with another Banksy animal to make it five? We’ll find out tomorrow, and hope that it will be painted on something that can’t be removed!
