We’ve been digitally rummaging through ASOS’s rails for 26 years now, but Londoners (and beyond) could soon be doing it in real life. That’s right, folks – the globally-beloved online retailer is apparently in the market for its first permanent bricks-and-mortar location. And it’s set to be right here in London.
Having well-and-truly marked its territory in the world of e-commerce back in the year 2000, ASOS has revoutionised the way that we shop online. But the digital department store is soon planning to dip its toe in the waters of London’s high street, and is currently scouring the capital city for the perfect place to set up shop.

According to the fashion retail reporters over at Drapers, ASOS is in the market for a unit that spans 4,000 to 8,000 square-feet. They’re supposedly eyeing up the spots that gain the highest footfall in London – and so the bustling likes of Oxford Street, Regent Street, Long Acre, and King’s Road could all be potential contenders for the brand’s inaugural store.
Whilst this would be ASOS’s first permanent in-person store, this won’t be the brands first in-real-life rodeo. Having hosted various pop-ups and partnerships over the years, ASOS is no stranger to physical retail. There is currently no information regarding exact dates of when or where this physical shop will open its doors – but we’ll be sure to keep our eyes peeled for any updates.
An ASOS spokesperson told Drapers: “We’re always exploring new ways to bring the ASOS experience to life for our customers. We’ve learnt a lot from recent pop-ups and partnerships, and while there’s nothing to share just yet, we believe physical retail can play a role in how we continue to meet customers where they are.”
