Art Garfunkel has announced a small set of shows in the UK later this year. Billed as ‘An Evening With Art Garfunkel’, the legendary singer will take to London’s Royal Albert Hall for a rare show on Monday, October 19.
On his ‘What Wonderful World: Celebration Concerts’, the singer, who was once half of the duo Simon & Garfunkel, will also play shows in Watford, Manchester, and Wolverhampton.
Art Garfunkel performances are something of a rarity these days, with the 84-year-old understandably winding down on the live shows after his storied career. His last shows in the UK came back in 2019, though his most recent London show was a gig at the Royal Albert Hall in 2018.
Simon & Garfunkel’s last UK performance came back in 2004 at Hyde Park for the ‘Old Friends’ tour, though the pair last played together in 2010. Both Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel have continued to play solo gigs, with the pair often opting to include Simon & Garfunkel tracks in their setlist.
Paul Simon is also returning to London for concerts this year, with his ‘A Quiet Celebration’ tour coming to the Royal Albert Hall next month. You can read more details on Paul Simon’s shows here.
