Annabel’s stunning tropical transformation has returned with a pledge to plant one million trees in the Amazon.
The private member’s club that we all covet from afar (because who can actually get inside?) underwent quite the makeover last year when it hosted a ‘Rainforest Month’. The Mayfair venue was dressed from head to toe in tropical decorations, dazzling passersby with green foliage and giant parrots. Now, the beautiful rainforest-inspired facade is back in honour of their inaugural green-carpet event, Annabel’s for The Amazon, which takes place on 30 September.
The charity event, hosted by The Caring Family Foundation in partnership with One Tree Planted, aims to help save the Amazon rainforest and raise awareness of the deforestation crisis. As part of the event, the organisers have made a commitment to plant one million trees by March 2023, which equates to approximately 600 hectares of forest restored, or the equivalent to 4.2 Hyde Parks. The trees will contribute to the Araguaia Biodiversity Corridor, which is on its way to becoming the largest nature corridor in the world.
While the prestigious event will only be attended by Annabel’s members, celebrities, and key environmentalists, the club’s facade is here for everyone to enjoy, and it’s even more incredible than it was last year. So make sure to stop by to marvel at the colourful birds gracing the Grade I listed Georgian mansion, and remember they’re there for a good cause!
