For just two evenings on 7 and 15 May, Savile Row tailor Alexandra Wood is opening the doors of her exclusive showroom for a private event you won’t want to miss – a personalised male styling experience paired with a delicious wine tasting in Mayfair.
Recognised by GQ as Tailor of the 21st Century and by Robb Report as Female Tailor of the Moment, Alexandra Wood is the first female tailor on Savile Row to design exclusively for men, putting a modern twist on stuffy, traditional male styling with garments perfect for the understated gentleman. Her showroom is not just a place to explore a sleek, elegant wardrobe, but also an intimate lounge to enjoy good company and – on this special occasion – great wine.
On this Evening of Style, you’ll be guided through an impeccably tailored seasonal wardrobe, learning all about flattering fabric and colour combinations so you can dress with sophistication. Just as you’ll be learning how to confidently pair different pieces, you’ll also be introduced to the art of wine pairing, with three delicious wines accompanying a selection of canapés from acclaimed Mayfair restaurant Nobu Park Lane.
How will the styling session and wine tasting unfold?
Your evening with Alexandra Wood will begin at 6.30 pm with a Domaine Evremond sparkling wine reception, inviting you to relax and get comfortable in the showroom with a glass in hand. At 7 pm, Alexandra and her team will walk you through their range of looks as well as the art of blending textures and colours to build a sophisticated, modern wardrobe. This styling session will be followed by an exquisite Louis Jadot wine tasting, paired with canapés from Nobu.
At the end of the evening, you will walk away with a much more confident approach to modern men’s fashion, which you can put to work immediately with an elegant Alexandra Wood pocket square. You’ll also receive a complimentary invitation to a one-on-one, in-person styling session valued at £650, where you can further build on everything you learned during this exclusive experience.
