In the words of Alexisonfire, This Could Be Anywhere In The World. And for those gig goers in London and Montreal, it’s, in the words of Billy Talent, the Perfect World. The pair of Canadian bands have chosen these two cities as the only spots on the globe to mark the 20th anniversary of two era-defining records, Crisis and Billy Talent II.
They’ll play a giant show at London’s Wembley Arena on Wednesday, June 24, which marks the biggest London venue the pair of bands has ever headlined in their careers. Touché Amoré will be joining them for the ride as support, making this a fizzing three-band bill. Following the gig, the co-headline package plays a second show in Montreal, Canada, in July, with support from Faze.

For Alexisonfire, it’s the celebration of their third studio album, Crisis, which features the likes of the aforementioned This Could Be Anywhere In The World, as well as Boiled Frogs, To A Friend, and more. Rewind nearly 20 years to November 13, 2007, and the band were playing Brixton (back when it was called Carling Academy Brixton) on the Crisis tour with support from The Ghost Of A Thousand and Saosin.
Billy Talent celebrate two decades of their eponymous Billy Talent II, with hits including Devil In A Midnight Mass, Fallen Leaves, Surrender, and more. Back in ’06, they were touring the album in London with a show at the Hammersmith Palais (which closed the following year) with support from Reuben, who were touring Very Fast Very Dangerous – an equally brilliant record that turned 20 last year.
Touché Amoré formed just under 20 years ago, but this year they play shows (including Outbreak in Manchester alongside Alexisonfire) to celebrate 10 years of their gut-punch of a record that is Stage Four.
