When you pay a visit to Alexandra Palace, you can already get a pretty amazing view out over the city. But they’re about to one-up themselves by opening up the highest roof walk in the whole country, offering up panoramic views out over London atop the legendary building.
Providing a new experience for those who don’t grapple with a fear of heights, Summit: The Ally Pally Rooftop Adventure is arriving at the landmark in February 2026, boasting sights from 130 metres above sea level – it’s clearly London’s answer to a mountain range.

Summit: The Ally Pally Rooftop Adventure
While our capital city rival in Scotland might boast Arthur’s Seat, London can now offer another vantage point for a view out across the city (albeit falling a little short of the Edinburgh summit’s 251 metres above sea level). Despite not touching the heights that a natural summit can offer, it will be the highest roof walk in the whole UK, and will allow for some pretty spectacular 360-degree views across the city.
Summit is set to open for climbs on February 14, 2026, so if you’re usually late booking that romantic gift for the day, take this as your first early idea, or at the very least your first reminder of Valentine’s Day. Your best bet here would be to opt for the sunset climb, which does what it says on the tin, giving you a view of the capital at peak lighting level. You’ll also be able to select a climb during the day, or a ‘London Lights’ slot, which will let you scale the building when it’s dark to see the big smoke in its glimmering form.
All are set to offer a unique perspective of London while perched on top of a legendary building and event space, and we’re not far from the first climbs taking place.
‘Summit: The Ally Pally Rooftop Adventure’ is due to open on February 14, 2026. It’s open to anyone over the age of 8, though under-18s will need to be accompanied by an adult. Find out all you need to know and book your space now on the Summit website.
