There’s nothing like dining outdoors to give you that holiday feeling. And now that the sun has finally arrived in London, we’re taking every opportunity to do so! With over 90 restaurants to explore (many of which offer outdoor seating) Westfield London W12 has got all of your al fresco dining needs covered this summer. Plus, you’ve always got the option to grab food and drinks to-go from the likes of Boost and Sushi Dog to eat outside on the grassy Southern Terrace near Rosa’s Thai.
We’ve picked out a few of our fave al fresco dining spots at Westfield London W12 to give you some food-spiration…
1. Rosa’s Thai
The aforementioned Rosa’s Thai is loved by Londoners for its flavour-packed dishes. From chicken satay and summer rolls to slurpable noodle dishes, you’ll find all of the classics here. But if the sun has got you in a celebratory mood, we’d highly recommend the bottomless brunch. For £40 per person, you’ll get a selection of mains and starters, as well as 90 minutes of unlimited drinks.
2. The Real Greek
There’s something about Mediterranean cuisine that makes you feel as though you’re abroad. With some mezze and a cold cocktail in front of you sitting outside at The Real Greek, who’s to say you couldn’t be? Two calamari and a Greek salad to share please!
3. Zizzi
For authentic Italian fare that never fails to satisfy your cravings, Zizzi is a perfect option. For the ultimate summer spread, you can’t go wrong with the new burrata caprese, the Siciliana salmon, some courgette fritti and an Amalfi Sundown cocktail.
4. Bill’s
With comfy chairs, parasols and cosy blankets on offer, Bill’s’ outdoor dining area is a pretty inviting spot for a lazy summer’s afternoon. If you’re visiting with a couple of friends, you can get 2 courses for just £23.95, or 3 for £27.95, all day Monday-Sunday. You can also bag a bottle of prosecco for just £20 Saturdays and Sundays between 10am-5pm.
5. Gourmet Burger Kitchen
Even an elite burger joint such as this improved by a glorious al fresco setting, everything tastes better in the sunshine after all! So next time you’re craving a burger, head to Gourmet Burger Kitchen at Westfield London – if you’re visiting before 5pm on a weekday you can get a burger and fries for just £7.
6. John Lewis
If you’re in need of a pick-me-up amidst your shopping, the John Lewis cafe is a lovely place to pause for some coffee and cake (and to catch some rays if you’re lucky!). Located on Level 3 of Westfield London, the cafe’s terraced seating even offers views looking out over the city.
7. Boost Juice Bars
For a fruity and refreshing treat, Boost Juice Bars has got all bases covered with smoothies, juices, blended ice drinks and more. Once you’ve chosen your drink, you can head outside, sit on the grass and enjoy the sun.
8. Sushi Dog
Another great grab-and-go option if you want to sit outside, is Sushi Dog. Their wonderfully fresh sushi rolls and poké bowls make the perfect light meal for the warmer months. You can pick one of their signature creations, or build your own, just the way you like it.
