O sindicato Aslef anunciou a realização de greves em todo o metropolitano de Londres no início do próximo mês, com greves anunciadas para a segunda semana de novembro. O RMT também anunciou uma série de greves para o início do mês, numa altura em que ambos os sindicatos dos transportes disputam os salários com acções laborais.
Quando é que as greves vão ter lugar?
O sindicato Aslef confirmou que haverá greves no metropolitano de Londres nos dias 7 e 12 de novembro. O Aslef tem 2.000 membros, e tanto os operadores de comboios como os funcionários administrativos devem entrar em greve nesse dia, sendo que os instrutores e os técnicos de engenharia também devem entrar em greve em dias diferentes de novembro.
Estima-se que o RMT tenha cerca de 10.000 membros a participar nas greves, que se prolongarão por vários dias, entre 1 e 8 de novembro. Haverá também proibições de horas extraordinárias para diferentes grupos de trabalhadores ao longo do mês.
O que vai acontecer durante as greves do Tube?
No dia das greves da Aslef, é provável que toda a rede do Tube seja afetada, embora a escala do que acontecerá nos dias das greves da RMT ainda não seja clara.
Os trabalhadores das estações da RMT vão entrar em greve no dia 5 de novembro e os sinaleiros devem seguir o exemplo durante três dias consecutivos a partir de 6 de novembro, o que significa que a rede irá, tal como está, sofrer muitos dias de perturbações no início do mês.
Porquê as greves?
Ambos os sindicatos afirmaram que as greves se devem a disputas salariais, bem como a questões como os longos horários de trabalho
O RMT considerou a sua proposta salarial da TfL “totalmente inadequada”.
Finn Brennan, organizador a tempo inteiro da Aslef no metropolitano de Londres, falou sobre a notícia e afirmou “Não queremos dificultar as deslocações na capital e nas suas imediações para os passageiros e não queremos perder um dia de salário – mas fomos forçados a esta posição porque a administração da LU não se senta devidamente e negoceia connosco”.
“Os nossos membros votaram mais de 98% a favor da greve, mas a administração do metropolitano continua a recusar-se a discutir elementos fundamentais da nossa reivindicação. Recusam-se a discutir qualquer redução da semana de trabalho ou a introdução de um subsídio de refeição pago para alinhar os condutores do metropolitano com os da linha Elizabeth e do London Overground.”
Poderão as greves ser canceladas?
A TfL está a discutir com ambos os sindicatos e há sempre a possibilidade de se chegar a um acordo, o que significa que as greves não se realizarão. No entanto, atualmente, esse acordo não foi alcançado e as greves vão continuar.
Também comentando a notícia, um porta-voz da TfL disse: “Estamos a colaborar com os nossos sindicatos de boa fé, tendo aumentado a nossa oferta desde o início das conversações, e convidámos os nossos sindicatos a reunir-se novamente na próxima semana. A nossa oferta é justa para os nossos trabalhadores e acessível para Londres”.
