Celebrate summer in the city at Zoo Nights; an evening of incredible animals and al fresco entertainment.
It’s not often you catch a glimpse of a tiger or a penguin in London, and it’s even less often that you get the chance to hang out with these exotic animals after hours, so this years’ ZSL London Zoo Nights is not to be missed. Get ready to see the zoo in a whole new light…
Summer in London is an opportunity to celebrate – whether that’s with a pint in a pub garden or an afternoon spent reclining on a picnic blanket in Regent’s Park – so we reckon an evening at Zoo Nights at ZSL London Zoo is the perfect way to make the most of the longer days. The zoo will be opening their doors every Friday evening in June for 2018, and you’re in for a whale of a time.
Whether you’re wandering through the Indian-themed Land of the Lions, sweating it out in their rainforest, or watching feeding time at Penguin Beach, there’s a huge variety of animals to see here, and the late night opening hours mean there’ll be no need to fight it out for the best views. This event is strictly adults only, so you’re free to roam without interruption.
There’s even a chance to gain new insight into the animals’ after-hours activities with the guided ‘Birds and the Bees’ tour (for an extra tenner). Grab a drink from one of the pop-up watering holes and enjoy a selection of wildly entertaining activities, including live comedy, animal-inspired yoga, face painting, aerial acrobatics, animal lanterns, the ZSL Superheroes trail, and Zooniversity Challenge.
Once you’ve worked up an appetite wandering round the exhibits, you’ll be able to enjoy an array of culinary delights from the world food market – offering exciting flavours and unusual dishes from around the globe. In true ZSL London Zoo-style both herbivores and carnivores will be fully catered for!
And the best part? By getting involved with Zoo Nights, you’ll also be contributing to ZSL’s work for wildlife, helping to protect and conserve animals in over 50 countries worldwide. You’ll find ZSL London Zoo at Regent’s Park, NW1 4RY and the nearest station is Camden Town. Tickets cost £18.50 and are available to purchase here. Be sure to make like a tiger and pounce on your tickets quickly though, because each event has very limited availability.
