Thousands of Londoners are daring to bare this Saturday as the World Naked Bike Ride returns for its thirteenth year.
If you can’t bare the thought of public nudity we suggest you stay inside this weekend…
Every summer this naked revolution takes to the streets in order to protest car culture and simultaneously promote body positivity. These people aren’t just making tits of themselves for the sake of it. It’s a deeply serious, important, legitimate event, you see.
Nothing funny about the human body.
We’re hoping the forecasted rain holds off for these ballsy eco-warriors. Although we doubt it’ll dampen their spirits too much!
It’s free to join in and, while nudity is encouraged, you’re welcome to take part wearing whatever makes you feel comfortable. Expect lashings of body paint and props aplenty. (You are asked not to strip off until you get to the rendezvous point though!)
All you need to do is turn up at one of the following locations with a bike (and a sense of humour):
Tower Hill (Trinity Square Gardens, EC3N 4DJ) at 14:30 for 15:00 departure
Kings Cross (Lewis Cubitt Park, N1C 4UZ) at 14:15 for 15:00 departure
West Norwood (242 Norwood Rd, SE27 9AW) at 11:00 for 14:30 departure
Hyde Park (North Carriage Drive, nr W2 2ET) at 14:15 for 15:00 departure
Regents Park (Cumberland Green, nr NW1 4NA) at 14:30 for 15:00 departure
Clapham Junction (Grant Road, SW11 2NU) at 14:30 for 14:45 departure
Kew Bridge (North end of bridge nr W4 3NQ) at 13:30 for 13:45 departure
Do follow the World Naked Bike Ride Facebook page for last-minute updates, lest you end up naked, alone and feeling very awkward.
