Drop what you’re doing and prepare to be ginsanely impressed, because we’ve found the cocktails dreams are made of.
The Chesterfield Mayfair has massively upped their game with a weekly gin and jazz evening worthy of Ron Burgundy himself. Spend your Wednesday night sipping on a selection of beautifully crafted cocktails while enjoying the live jazz quartet. This is one seriously sophisticated affair.
Imagine a bar so swanky it makes you feel like you should be wearing a quilted smoking jacket and discussing Foucault’s major works over a glass of Cognac. Well, while the smoking jacket and intellectual chit-chat isn’t a prerequisite to entry, if you make your way to the Terrace Bar at The Chesterfield Mayfair, you’ll definitely feel like kind of a big deal.
But while the jazz club atmosphere is definitely worth a mention the real reason to visit the bar at The Chesterfield is to sample their Space Age cocktail selection.
Behold the Blow Your Own Trumpet, a mix of Martin Miller’s gin, Aperol, Chambord, lemon, egg white and crushed apple. All presented over dry ice and accompanied by a canapé trio that will knock your socks off. Seriously, you just can’t go wrong with drinks involving dry ice – especially when it comes to capturing the perfect Instagram snap.
Or try the Passion For Jazz, made up of Martin Miller’s gin, crème de menthe, passion fruit syrup and lemon, all presented in a gorgeous copper tumbler.
Copperfection. And this mountain of icy goodness is the Live, Listen & Lubricate, made up of Martin Miller’s gin, Cointreau, splash of lime – simple, yet extremely effective.
Ok, enough cocktail porn – you’ll just have to try them out for yourselves! Alternatively, if – like us at Secret London HQ – nothing does it for you quite like a good old fashioned G&T, you can try their unique gin and tonic experience. A chance to sample a variety of different gins the way they were intended to be drunk. Apparently there’s more to it than just ice and a slice. Who knew, right?
The sophisticated Gin and Jazz evenings take place every Wednesday from 7.15pm to 9pm at the Terrace Bar in The Chesterfield Mayfair hotel and booking isn’t required.
