You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll cringe so hard you turn inside-out.
‘Mortified‘ is the performance series that’s taken the world by a very awkward storm: where real people reveal their teenage diaries’ most melodramatic, heartfelt and utterly ridiculous pages in front of a live audience. It’s sweet, it’s funny, and it’ll give you life while simultaneously leaving you longing for death.
You should definitely check out some of the series’ most hilarious moments on Netflix (the documentary is called ‘Mortified Nation’) and subscribe to the hugely popular podcast version, too.
But this Saturday, London will be playing host to it’s third homegrown edition of Mortified. And it’s set to be just as knuckle-whitingly heart-warming as before…
‘Among the local discoveries ready to be unearthed, is a teenage girl who writes imaginary corporate memos as she takes on the role of the head of a fashion empire, a young girl who falls for the mysterious and enigmatic Benoit, and some truly mortifying tales of love, friendship and living abroad.’
I am wincing already, and frankly I love it. See you there!
Mortified is at the Leicester Square Theatre, Soho, at 9pm on Saturday July 22. Get tickets here!
