Get on down to the Vauxhall Street Food Garden for irresistible dishes and footballing action.
The FIFA World Cup is FINALLY here, and if you’re not headed to Kaliningrad for some footballing action, then south London’s got the next best thing with these jubilant football screenings.
Head through this flower-festooned archway to find a courtyard that dishes up street food for every appetite. We’re talking 46 dishes to choose from, from five different vendors: juicy burgers, sizzling stir-fries and sinfully chocolatey crepes are among the snackables on offer.
Biting your nails to an England game works up an appetite, after all.
For the World Cup, the garden will be screening every single match on big screens, and on the weekends, it’ll be hosting colourful after-parties inspired by the contenders.
Pop down this Sunday, June 16, for example, to catch the Nigeria v Croatia game at 7pm – then stick around for an Afrobeats party and Nigerian street food. There’ll be South American dishes and samba vibes for Brazil games, and so on and so forth.
There’ll even be flags and inflatables for guests to flail around – is it really the World Cup without madly waving a prop? – although we’re assured there won’t be a vuvuzela in sight.
A £10 ticket from Fever gets you access to any game, a burger plus wine, beer or soft drink, and attendance to the after party where available. (A Harry Kane hat trick is sadly not guaranteed.)
