Mega-posh London hotel Claridge’s has unveiled its spectacular new Christmas tree.
Set in the lobby, it’s a gorgeously, classically decorated tree – only, y’know… upside down.
The 16ft-tall installatoion is topped with roots and a glittering star.
It’s also adorned with tree candles, handmade ‘snowflakes’, silver lametta decorations and (try saying this five times fast) silver butter leather feathers.
It was created by the legendary fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld.
It follows last year’s Christmas collaboration between Apple designer Jony Ive and Marc Jacobs:
And 2015’s design from Burberry designer Christopher Bailey:
Claridge’s tradition of collaborating with fashion designers on their Christmas trees dates back to 2009 – see all of the previous instalments here.
The hotel is looking pretty festive on the outside, too:
All in all, a fine addition to the capital’s Christmas.
Check it out for yourself at Brook Street, Mayfair, W1K 4HR. Nearest tube: Bond Street.
